Just a memory.
Merlin remembered when his mother used to tell stories of kings and queens, princes and ladies
,
surrounded by the mighty knights who protected their realm,
sure that no one could enter and groped to destroy it.
He told of their lives, their habits inside.
He told of those castles with high walls,
built with the toil and sweat of the subjects of the kingdom. He dreamed
the small Merlin,
hoping that one day he could see with his own eyes one of the great castles,
would have known that one of those King
The discovery on its fate was then still a long way.
